The fruit used here is from a range of regions throughout the Limestone Coast, Wrattonbully, Robe, Coonawarra and Padthaway. Fermentation is in stainless steel tanks, with the aim being for a fresh and vibrant style of Gris. Very pale lemon, this is a clean and fresh style which is most attractive. There are gentle notes of crisp pears, spices, lemons, florals and a touch of grapefruit. The wine is of medium length, seamless in style, and with a fine texture. Perhaps it needs a touch more length to go to the next level and that may come over the next couple of years, during which time it will continue to provide pleasure.
