Gorgeously styled and crafted, the wine shows dark plum, mulberry, dried herb, smoky bacon and toasted almond characters on the nose. The generously flavoursome palate delivers awesome weight and beautifully flowing mouthfeel, brilliantly supported by refined texture and mouth-coating tannins. Sensually appealing and fabulously drinkable. At its best: now to 2036.

The cooler climes of Coonawarra suit this variety in good years. This one has turned out rather well. It’s medium bodied with bright red fruit characters. Lifted perfumes of seductive red berry and slightly richer plummy fruit characters. Gets a little new French which brings a neat lift. Finely balanced and poised.
